The seminar will focus on two main topics:
– Overview of the DC1/DC2 Fellowship and the evaluation process
– Sharing experience and storytelling skills – an essential factor to make your research proposal more convincing.
Overview of JSPS DC1/DC2:
-The JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Special Research Fellowship (DC1/DC2) is one of the most prestigious fellowships in Japan for doctoral researchers. The goal of the program is to support young researchers in carrying out creative projects based on their own ideas. The fellowship is open to both Japanese and international doctoral students, and selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend along with a research budget.
– Research proposals can be written in English.
– Fellowship Amount: 200,000 yen/month
– Research Support: Up to 800,000 yen/year (Category A) / Up to 1,500,000 yen/year (Category B)
– Duration of Support: 3 years for DC1 / Remaining duration of Ph.D. program (1-2 years) for DC2.
